What this test is

This panel checks several sex hormones at once. It uses saliva samples, often collected at home. It usually includes estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, and DHEA. It is sold as a fuller picture than one blood test alone. There is a problem, though. Saliva hormone tests like this are not standardized between labs. There is no agreed range to compare your result to. A high or low result is hard to act on safely. Checking many hormones at once means more numbers that could look off.
