This test doesn't have a proven medical use for the reasons people usually ask about it.
What this test is
A "full" thyroid panel usually means several thyroid tests ordered all at once: TSH, free T4, free T3, reverse T3, and thyroid antibodies. Every thyroid guideline we found says to start with TSH alone. Other tests are added step by step, only if needed. Ordering everything at once, especially reverse T3, is not backed by any guideline. It also makes a confusing result more likely. This does not mean these tests are never useful. Most of them are, in the right case. It is the bundle, done as a first step, that is not backed by evidence. A urine version of thyroid testing has even less support.
